The machair trout are beautifully marked and are a special prize to the fisherman

SEA TROUT:
South Uist probably offers the best seatrout loch fishing in Europe. Fish of 10Lb and over are recorded yearly.

SALMON:
Some excellent salmon loch fishing is available in South Uist. Fantastic sport for tackle more geared for trout fishing.

MACHAIR LOCHS:
These shallow lochs abound down the west coast of South Uist. They sustain a rich food supply for the wild brown trout enabling them to grow to 6Lb+

HILL LOCHS:
There are hundreds of hill lochs on South Uist. If you want to do a bit of remote fishing, look no further.
